Date: Thursday, February 16, 2017
Time: 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Location: Salinas Valley Fairgrounds, Orradre Building (King City, CA)

Trashion Show is a high fashion competition that features unique, one-of-a-kind clothing made from recycled / re-purposed materials such as: candy wrappers, coffee bags, newspapers, chicken wire, 35 mm slides and much, much more. Let your imagination run wild-picture a beautiful gown made from recycled mini pie pans. The possibilities are endless.
The event is sponsored by the Alliance on Aging (AOA), Monterey County’s largest nonprofit organization providing senior support services. AOA has assisted senior men and women in the Monterey County for 46 years. Funds raised from Trashion Show will go directly toward AOA’s efforts to provide critically needed, no cost services and programs for thousands of seniors throughout the county.

These services include: Medicare counseling and assistance, tax counseling for the elderly, long-term care ombudsman, peer counseling, benefits checkup (such as taxi vouchers, access to healthy foods, discounts on utility services) and more.

We are in need of artists who want to express their creativity and showcase how beautiful recycled fashion can be. Please call 831.655.1334 for more information.

If you are interested in giving back and helping to provide for the seniors in your community, please contact Wanda Christiansen, 831.655.7564 or 831.655.1334 regarding sponsorship for the event.
